Out of all the readings of Rian Johnson's "The Man In the Herringbone Hat," I think that the two that work best when REmixed together are those done by Channing and Sat's grandfather.
My overall goal was to give it more of a live performance sound. Think "A Prairie Home Companion" (see notes at the end of this caption for audio needs.)
These particular readings work together well, in my opinion, because Sat's grandfather has such a storytelling voice; one you'd hear outside an old tavern recounting an epic tale such as this.
Channing's is different because he used multiple voices. I used his Southern drawl sections for the dialogue, and Sat's grandfather serves more as the narrator.
I'd love someone to take this and play with it. I keep imagine an audio reenactment faintly heard in the background, as if it's being performed on stage. I imagine hearing the train, the cards, background ambiance... All kinds of cool sounds (and subtle to the production.)
Anyone want to give that a shot?

Great job remixing these! I phoned my grandfather to let him know that one of the many things he can claim to in life was being in a semi audio play, writen by Rian Johnson, remixed by MattConley and starring beside Channing Tatum. His response was to go.."Well in my day..." Anyways I hope this collaboration and record continue to progress!

Thanks, Day Glo. Yeah, definitely a tough balance with the difference in line reading. I'd like to explore this again soon and tweak a few things. Thanks for checking it out!

Nicely done, sir. Perhaps feel a little more production needed on Chan's bits, to fit in better.
