Great Ocean Road, Australia
A sunset I don't think I'll ever forget.
I love lighthouses - the mystique and aura, the shapes and textures, the history...everything.
At the end, you find the light
I would love this shot if that guy hadn't just parked there and got out!
tidbit: this was a musical concert for the whales in the water
This is my second favorite photo that I have ever taken. It was taken aboard the Providence-Newport ferry in September '08.
Took this picture at sunrise
sunset beach. cape may.
everything looks so close and warm. a big hug from the sun!

a harbour in Croatia
i took this one on our family trip. Croatia what a beautiful place, specially the island of Hvar. anyways just a great trip, great pictures, great memories.
I had heard something about the 11/11 ship and decided see if it was true...and there it went, quietly and inconspicuously, pretneding to be just any other trading ship here in the Cork port, too early in the morning for the blaring horn to wake anyone but the seagulls and me...i'm pretty sure I heard the seahorn cry regularity but no one else was there to back me up
A row of kayaks along a river in Massachusetts.
I loved the name of this boat I saw, while I was dolphin watching. Life can certainly be "paynefull" sometimes.
Taken at Hilton Head in Georgia '08
Looking off the coast from Muir Beach, CA.
Sunset at a harbor in Honolulu, HI
Bell Harbor Pier, Downtown Seattle.
A favorite of mine!
Taken in Grand Haven, Michigan on a very foggy day. No editing. I love this shot.
A line of boats waiting to be put away for the season
Snapshot of my city
Sarah McLachlan, a local gal, had a benefit concert at the beach yesterday. Her guests were Sheryl Crow and Neil Young. I didn't buy tickets (on the Road Trip at the time), but some friends and I headed down and staked out a spot outside the gates and on the sand. The sound was fantastic, and the evening was perfect. There were lots of boats in the harbour having a listen too.
I was really impressed with Sheryl Crow. I'm a HUGE Neil and Sarah fan, and we weren't even going to listen to Sheryl. I'm glad we did. She puts on an awesome live show.
Fell in love with Vancouver again.
some unusual boats I found on my adventures in Whitehaven.
there's nothing better than taking to the open seas in a makeshift boat
(unless your oar is made of some random pieces of wood nailed together.
and an essential part of your equipment is a bucket!)
The boat under the "Old broken bridge"
Time for a picnic at my favorite place, the "Old broken bridge". This is a new wood bridge built since few years. Before we hadn't.
For the little story, the bridge was broken at world war I, it was re-built one time between the 2 wars and was broken again at world war II. I only knew the "old broken bridge" but this new "old broken bridge" is really a beautiful place now. It's the road between marina and air camper.
In the heart of all Stenay's persons his name stayed :the old broken bridge...
An old abandoned boat in Costa Rica
An abandoned boat on the beach in Costa Rica. In the background you can see one of the numerous beach houses being constructed at the time. Two years prior you could have bought 2.5 acres beachfront for 20k, now it's probably between 500k and a million
Nightshots in Adelaide, under the bridge...
My friend Kat and I went wandering about the streets of Adelaide to take some night shots when suddenly, we came upon some boats...
I was fascinated by the fuel of this fire and the peacefulness of the surrounding water.
Central Park in the fall
It was just the perfect day in new york city
An early morning in my hometown.
Fragments from a nice night out with friends are crossing my mind.
My world is narrowed to my inner self.
Sunrise is a given, the songs of the birds are wasted on me and the fresh air could be smogged 'till deadly poison as far as I am concerned.
And then I saw her, in all her grace.
My world became a world again.

if i spent all day at the park, kicking up my heels as if i was five, would i come back exhausted but happy?
I love my city
Taken on the lovely afternoon I spent with flyingdagger.
Sorry it's a bit crooked.
This electrical tower makes this an official 21st century landscape.
View of Manhattan from Dumbo.
This is a group of 6 shots, taken over a period of 3 hours, with dawn about halfway through. I've merged them together, from left to right showing the temporal progression. I used the tutorial at http://mkweb.bcgsc.ca/fun/hdtr/?tutorial which has some very cool examples of this method.
Ahhhh the "rare" gondola photo, but come on how awesome is that moment!?
-i took a few of these in differennt lights and times.

This is aimed at the person that I love, who is in the US
Just a picture I took in Waterton, Alberta.
Taken in Florida a few years back around Clear Water beach or maybe on Clear Water...I don't remember. But that is a legit pirate ship...or as legit as a reenactment ship can be!
A photograph taken at Navy Pier in Chicago.
At the beach...peeking out from under the pier.
Santa Barbara, California
Beautiful winter day in NYC.
Pismo Beach, CA, Central Coast
This picture was taken at Pismo Beach in California along the Central Coast (San Luis Obispo county) after a week of storms. The sun was just setting behind the last clouds still lagging behind.
For the life in black & white collab.
Taken at the pier.
too tourist-y?
Second RECord for the Snapshot of my city Collaboration.
Taken from pier 39 in the SF wharf. You can sort of see the bridge... kinda.
on a windy day, you will always find her at the end of the pier
one of my dear friends insisted on taking me to her favourite place of all time. it was a windy horrible day (even if the photo seems to suggest otherwise.) but it's the place she goes at night by herself to collect her thoughts, and it's the place she drives to when she's upset.
and every moment of being there felt like i was on sacred ground, while also feeling so nostalgic in a place i'd never been. it feels like a typical small seaside town. it has the arcade, the beach, the promenade... but it also has this sweet little 'cliff lift' which, for a whole 70p, will take you to the top of the hill to the main section of town.
Couldn't ask for better bird placement!
Taken from the pier in Cromer, on the east coast of England.
road, black and white, night, lights, coronado
Photo taken at Coronado in 2007.
"Don't look back and grieve over the past, it's gone. Don't be troubled by the future, it hasn't come yet. Live in the present and make it so beautiful that it's worth remembering."
This is where I wish I could be.
media: Velvia (35mm slide film) on print, scanned. Gimp photofinishing.
This version also uses the code at http://mkweb.bcgsc.ca/fun/hdtr/?tutorial , but this time the 9 photo's are blended together vertically rather than horizontally.
This version was created using the code from http://mkweb.bcgsc.ca/fun/hdtr/?tutorial , which merged together 9 photo's. The duplicate boats at the bottom right are a bit unfortunate, but it's certainly less work than using the layers method in Photoshop.
On a very early Sunday morning, before two servings of gelato, this picture came to life.
Leaving Patra, Greece and headed to Bari, Italy. This was taken before our ship left the dock.
A closer shot of the Eiffel Tower.
The view of a stunning sunset outside the Back Eddy restaurant in Westport, MA.
Heres a creepy still - coloured/softened ala comic book style, (though i think our film version will be different!) Muhahhhaa Cat man liiives!
Captured this shot in Duluth, MN on the Lake Superior shore.
P.S. this kid had horrible aim for throwing rocks, so I hope you appreciate the danger I put both my life and my camera in to get this. :)
