The day I lost my positivity stone to the sea
water so cold it numbed me to the knees then
under a wave I dove with a determined move
against my bodies plea to keep from this
freezing swirl and foam, so far from home
Then gasp for air I break from underneath
and quickly wade my way through waves to shore
and realize that the citrine I had worn around my neck was there no more.
I have been told the ways of stones
and crystals come and go
Apparently, my postiivity this time
was enough to stand alone
and across the beach these legs and feet
make their way to where I next will roam.
