Ok, so here are my final pencils for the Turnip Head Concept.

*His outfit is based on suits and ties from the Victorian era to suggest a stiff, buttoned-up look.

*His hat is a Victorian newsboy cap, which is large enough to both conceal his identity... and cause his accident.

I'll try to work on some colors this weekend.
