Alright, folks! The Hit RECorchestra is getting ready to strike again!
I'm uploading the rough sketches here for you to contribute to. I've used some of the elements from the first score, but we're looking for more great Morgan-esque sounds & instruments.
Make sure you upload your isolated parts beginning from the start.
You can download the (click) track if you just want to play along, or you can download the SKETCH track and load it into Garageband/Protools/Logic, etc. and set up your own session. The main elements in Morgan's Waltz are at 172bpm in 3/4. The new fight elements are at 165bpm in 4/4.
Special Requests:
-Krrr, lets get some more of your string goodness! Your instincts are great, so go at it!
-We need a specific instrument for Madame Ball-o-fur. I thought hammered dulcimer could be cool. Basically we need flourishes for her "voice" each time she's onscreen
-I'd love to get some deeper horns on there if there are any tuba or trombone players!
-Also, lets get some percussion, crazy drums or metal sounds
-If you play upright bass, we could use some driving elements in a sort of 2/4 feel during the fight parts.
-Tweety-bird sort of dizzyness for Lionel's fall
-Trumpet blaring & strings crescendoing for Morgan's front flipping jump
And anything else you feel could add to it!
Upload and drop your files in this collaboration. I'm away this weekend, but I'll be back early next week to begin cutting together everything and mixing to be ready for the SXSW screening.
Ahoy!
