i had this idea ages ago of a Don Quixote esque childrens book about a boy who cant sleep and dons a superhero bat boy outfit and his cat [tiger] is his sidekick and they fight the giant robot [trashcan] and ...other inanimate objects n stuff.. does anyone else have ideas for the story of this childrens book collab?

been inspired by some really awesome paper cut out designs i've seen lately. so i tried putting similar paper cut outish type things together and then it started turning into a fall formal scene. in the end i think it's a little bit boring for a poster but maybe someone can make sthng else out of it.
irrelevant question : do you like artists that keep trying new styles out or artists that have a distinct style that they stick to?
really wish i had more time to draw some concept art/storyboards. i'll do a few more when i get a chance
been drawin inspiration from a lot of old yin&yangish type art for the character designs of hevn & urth. i imagine them starting off as simple outlines or something then as stories progress turn into their different characters.. maybe characters from old creation myths. i didnt make a lot of nods to the old myths in the story cause i thought it could be shown in the visuals

alsooo the reason i mirrored it is so that i can use the left side of each drawing and the right side..and make 2 sets of each! the more the merrier with this process..since 50drawings only gave me 10 seconds of animation :/
a sort of stream of consciousness-y thing ive been writing lately. i saw this timelapse vid today by bluebudgie and was really inspired to experiment with it. i understand how this might be seen as political or preachy or offensive.. but i honestly dont mean to be any of those things. it is directed at me more than anyone else. there's a lot of literary reference nod's in the text.
sub-point: the track is an instrumental version of everything is on fire
thought this might be a nice intro for sthng. ive always wanted to create a hand drawnish old film countdown! the quality is better if u download it..

we need a lot more motion textures for the creation myth animation. just think of textures you overlay on still images in photoshop. but these have to be moving. e.g : a starry sky - would be either a sequence of similar starry sky images put together frame by frame (like this video above).. or a video of a starry sky.
watercolour motion textures would be awesome to overlay on the 'watercolour world' .. or if anyone can make some 'ink in water' video?
paint sprinkles/sprays
washed out textures would be cool [like sherbethead's Wake video]
cloud/fog textures!
snow falling textures! [im sure ive seen a good one of this but can't find it]
more paper textures would also be good

i put this together quickly and roughly. on the one hand i like the lightness/roughness of it contrasting with the serious tone of the audio, on the other it might be spelling things out which are meant to be left to interpretation. if u think it doesn't work well by itself please use any bits you like in your own vid!
