The struggling sunflower saw his thriving peers and thought he had a plan --

“When at last I grow up good and tall, I’ll bloom as brightly as I can!”

And though all his fellows were big and brilliant in their banana suited hues,

not one compared to the upstart as he burned a blazing blue!
