Aha! That makes sense, wow! Okay well if you resize and manage to get the photoshop files to more like 6 mgs or under (just reduce them in pizel size in photoshop (Control - alt and I) and change dimensions to more around the 1000 range (than whatever they are at present.) Having photoshops with seperate layers is best, but if thats not possible, then max quality jpgs will be useable too!

oh, i scanned these in at 1200 dpi to start with, since the original images are only about an inch to a few inches big. that turned out to be quite a bit more than necessary!

so if i save at 800dpi, how small can the actual fishes be to work? is a transparent .png better to post here?

btw, i have this one with his tail going both ways. all those high-res layers = a big file, yes!

Well - i tell you what - lets use thse JPGS for now (but if you can save them as 'maximum quality' on photoshop. This is excellent - and it will rock if you can upload all the other beasties you have!

But hey, feel free to make them into characters too - giving them accessories etc, but save maybe 2 versions (with and without accessories) just because i can double up the use of beasties without edwardian dresswear hehe (to be like normal beasties) as i'll mix them in together :P
