I discovered an interview in the local paper. I don't really understand how true this is. When I asked about it, everyone nodded and smiled, and told me to track down the girl who was the subject of the interview. She'd been writing into the paper every few weeks to offer corrections and rebuffals to the various letters and articles regarding C. that turned up.

When I asked her for an interview, she didn't seem interested at first. When I told her about our project, she agreed to let me tape it. A copy of her statement is enclosed with this letter. See what you make of it. I don't know what to think at all. Let me tell you, though: this young lady believed every word of it, so far as I could tell.
