*** Ah, forgive me - I'm a little tired: re-edited...***
Hello Psalmist,
No - no, not at all. You've merely stumbled on (my RECord) our open notes, for the Manifesto collaboration.
Welcome... :]
RE: "a push in the right direction?" --- Yes, of course: all text contributed to the collaboration are open to visual interpretation. Or, you can contribute your own THINKrecord(s).
I have been referring to these two albums by videotroph:
THINKrecords (originals) - Thanks so much... x
(PS v, thank you... x)
' target="_blank">http://hitrecord.org/records/492105
THINKrecords (quotations) - http://hitrecord.org/records/492108
So, yes please; feel free choose a text that inspires you, and you're good to go-go-go!
Thanks so much... x
(PS v, thank you... x)

Pslamist,
Man, you are totally right. What a dummy I am! I guess I thought that Metaphorist's portrait was the best place to leave my request; but because, as you said, it's not actually her RECord, it turns out I'm actually shouting into an empty abyss. I'll be sure to re-post the request somewhere less .... stupid.
You rock. Thanks for the heads up!

@videotroph: Sounds good to me :D I'll see what I can come up with! I'm a fledgling on the site so I'll investigate the prompts and see which ones I don't feel I would need to be a veteran to be worthy of offering thoughts on. If I remember correctly the topics are pretty broad so I'll probably find something ;)
Oh, btw, I noticed the other day that you had left a message on Metaphorest's main pic to try and get her attention.I also noticed that it was a RECord done by fractaldust rather than Metaphorest and didn't know if she would be notified about your message. I just doublechecked and she didn't respond on that RECord itself so, in case you hadn't heard from I thought I should mention she might not get notified about your note in her feed. Like I said, I'm new so that might be a lot of information you didn't need me to give, but I'd rather look dumb and learn a lesson than not mention something that could be important for you.
Thanks again for the quick response! Cheers!

Hi Psalmist,
Thanks for your interest in helping out with the Manifesto collab!
I'd say the first thing to do--if you haven't already--is read through the Manifesto collab announcement, in which I spell out both Phase I and Phase II of the project (
(By the way: this "Notes" page you've stumbled upon is our place for keeping track of the various pages we have constructed or are presently working on. I can imagine how confusing it must look from the outside!)
Now, what can you do other than dive headlong into either Phase I or Phase II and see what happens? I have no particular task in mind at this very moment. Now that I know that you are eager and willing, however, I will definitely throw something your way sooner than later. In the meantime, the seasoned hitRECorders that are also leading this Manifesto collab, IrmaVep and tori, may have some more specific ideas about how you might help us out.
Otherwise, I'd say contribute however you see fit. After all, this is hitRECord!
Do let me know if you have questions, thoughts, or concerns.
Sincerely,
videotroph' target="_blank">http://hitrecord.org/records/471529). As you'll notice there, the two Phases are intended to be carried out simultaneously. For Phase I, we are creating THINKrecords (either relevant quotations or original tiny aphoristic expressions that explore the aesthetic and social significance of hitRECord in clever and artful ways) as well as collecting/designing images that pair well with those texts. For Phase II, meanwhile, we are designing hi-res page layouts (single, double, even triple-pages) which will hopefully be featured in some form or another in the final published volume: The hitRECord Manifesto. That's the gist. But there are many more details on the collab page that are definitely worth sifting through if you have a moment.

Hi! I hope this finds all of you well :D I'm really interested in the idea videotroph proposed in his "The hitRECord Manifesto" collab (which I "think" I traced this to) and would like to look into helping. I was wondering is there anywhere I can look at to be brought up to speed on what is currently needed? Other than that collab, I mean. Based on this RECord (which due to my ignorance I unfortunately find to be pretty confusing) I have a feeling that I've missed some crucial information, lol. That or I may have just misunderstood the purpose of this RECord altogether... anyway before I make myself look like an even bigger idiot than I feel like I am, could you give me a push in the right direction? Thanks for any help you provide and cheers! :D
