It's okay that you don't have the individual tracks. It just makes it easier if I want to do a full blown remix. I'll still mess around with the record and see what I come up with.
@ Malicore The only problem is that these tracks are from a master cd that the studio gave me...is there anyway you could still remix it? There isn't a way to get the individual tracks from the master.
Stems are the individual audio tracks for the song you recorded. One way to go about creating them is to solo a track on the mixer and render it to a separate wave file and repeat the process for each track of the album. You can do subgroups if you think they don't need to be separated. For instance I usually group all the drums tracks together because people tend to just want the beat and not individual drum pieces. Once you have all the individual audio tracks for each of the instruments and vocal parts in a folder just turn it into a zip file and upload it to the site. I still have a couple of zip files on my recent records list if you want to check them out and see what they look like.
Wow you guys...thank you! I feel very welcome! This was recorded on a Yamaha Grand Piano in Ann Arbor at Big Sky Recording Studio ... part of my full album called "The Great Unknown" http://www.bryandrewyor.com @ Malicore, I would love you to remix this! I am afraid I don't know what you mean by stems? Very Excited to hear a remix though!
Pretty awesome song you have here! For me, it's nice to hear REAL piano with natural sounding riffs as oposed to all this computer generated stuff or classical straightforward riffs around here. And if you did this with a computer - you are even more amazing!
