As he got off the boat in this new port, he saw the city he'd heard so much about. It was alive, something home never seemed to be when he looked back at it. Even at night the streets were filled with sounds of life, music that seemed to light up everything for him.

One of the sailors nudged him, an older man who had listened carefully to his song. Embarassed, he quickly moved forward, turning to apologize.

The old sailor just pointed forward to one of the streets, at a small bar. Jack pointed out that he'd never had alcohol before. The sailor raised an eyebrow and shook his head, giving his suggestion for just how to fix that.
