Disaster Feature Rebooted!
For anyone who may have been part of the Feature Film Learning Collab, Pickles has left us for awhile and that collab is going defunct.
So we are starting afresh! Consider this a classic Reboot.
You don't have to be an experienced screenwriter - this is a learner-friendly collab.
The new goal is a little bit more manageable, but still ambitious: we are still going for a feature length disaster film - but the goal of this particular collab is only to write the *script* for such a film.
Specifically, our goal is to collaboratively develop a complete and compelling script for a feature length film that can realistically be made by our fellow hitRECorders, with no outside funding or help. The constraints this puts on our writing are challenging but definitely within the bounds of possibility.
Once our script is *really* good, then we can trust that a new collaboration of film makers will naturally arise to take the obvious next step of actually making our script into film.
I have volunteered to coordinate, organize and generally cheerlead the project. Also, please also add any script related RECords you may have from Pickles collab to the new one.
The new collab already has quite a bit of introductory and organizational/infrastructure stuff in there. It's a skeleton structure just waiting to be filled with *your* brilliant ideas.
There's obviously still a whole huge amount of stuff to do, well, that's what we have you for muahaha. :) Dive right in, just start doing whatever you want to work on. We only ask that you a) read the basic leave a comment so your fellow collaborators know who's working on what. Then, let's get at it!
