Don't look into my eyes

they're all too revealing

the scars I can't disguise

they show healing

but that's only on the outside

the inside is still very much broken

but the pain I can hide

when my eyes aren't open

in them you can see

that my heart is in ruin

like a building once so lovely

i'm only human

and the world forgets

the world moves on

only i lament

let me live withdrawn.
