"Are we recording?" is a familiar phrase on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's online production company, hitRECord. And as I sit within the confines of Gordon-Levitt's personal production studio (which he refers to as "The REC Room") it is in fact a relevant question pertaining to our interview.     

    The conversation is being recorded by Gordon-Levitt and will later be uploaded onto hitRECord.org where the 50,000+ users of the site will be able to download the audio track and assist in the writing of this article. This kind of collaborative remixing occurs on a daily basis on hitRECord over a wide array of projects, all under the direction of Gordon-Levitt (known on hitRECord as "RegularJOE.")
