Colder Than Cold
Inspired by ntheon, Sirius Dan, and the Sara(h)s' flash-flood of disaster ideas and by the sheer gloom that encompasses every day here after a whiteout, I've decided to put together a short film of my own, dealing with the harshness of the cold in the only way I know how: by exaggerating it to ridiculous proportions via film. In the spirit of the learning by doing... uh... spirit that fueled the original brainstorms, however, I'm going to try and script, shoot, and finish a rough edit by month's end. If anything, it'll serve as practice for helping out with the bigger projects, and maybe even inspire more people to join in on the fun.
Anywho, what I'd like is for anyone with any records about cold or winter or ice, whatever, to contribute to this collaboration if you can. I'm going to keep this very short, so I'm likely to finish my first draft by Sunday, leaving room for any ideas I find through you guys. If this seems kind of strange, it is - I'm basically asking for background help for something I will produce almost entirely on my own, but having a foundation of completed, if rough works will inform the contributors of a final, polished production.
