Grey, Black, & Ash - audioplay
- Grey, Black, & Ash - audioplay
This short story was written by me as one of the really early hitRECord collaborations. I took a photo of a door in a wall, he(art)geek drew a girl leaning against said wall, Tori photoshopped them together, and then I wrote this story. Just recently, the talented and wonderful Philip Horrell recorded it as an audio play as a birthday gift to me.
Now, the version I've posted here is just him reading the story. He also made an awesome version with music and sound effects, but sadly the sounds he used are copyrighted material. What I would LOVE, possibly more than life itself, is if some of you sensational, talented hitRECorders would make some beautiful music and sounds to add to this. I'm thinking jazzy with piano and trumpet, very film noir-esque. We definitely need some ambient bar noise for the bit about the narrator hoping she'll come into the bar where he works, and maybe a match striking when she first lights her cigarette. Go nuts!
