Bird with a Human Heart (Poem)
(Poem for mirtle's drawing)
No hint of a doubt
It was love from the start
Mary-Ann and the bird
with the human heart
Despite how it seemed
They were birds of a feather
No matter the trials
They’d triumph together
When the world shook its head
They would take to the sky
Up above the naysayers
And frowners they’d fly
Then they’d soar back to earth
On the gentlest breeze
And perch in their lovenest
And do as they pleased
