How about a story where she's a newly born zombie and we find out that she likes humans and that she doesn't want to eat then so she decides to become a, "vegetarian". The story could develop into, her becoming more human. You could make it childish but also have strong undertones of deep feeling that people could relate to. Maybe she could become part of a family???
