I'm in a production of Pygmalion & they wanted some artwork for publicity materials, so I've knocked together several possible designs; pretty sure this one isn't going to be used, so I thought I'd pop it up here in case it was of use to anyone else. It's in the spirit of REmix art already, so...
(Yes, I know that Botticelli's picture is of Venus rather than Galatea - it's only a nod to the classical source of the text, & I figured it was an image more people would be familiar with than any of the actual Galatea images. Plus there's the contrast between "unspoiled" Eliza pre-Higgins and the more artificially elegant creature she becomes after she's improved herself....eh, then again, it's quite possible I just wanted an excuse to draw naked ladies.)
