Let Down Your Hair

Rapunzel

The tower is broken and she is free.

Another Truth in Fairy Tales sketch, this one of Rapunzel. I've always taken it as a story of a girl who, at the start of her maturation into womanhood, is locked in a tower by her adopted mother as a way to keep her from growing up into a woman and leaving her. And unsurprisingly, the first chance Rapunzel gets, she goes crazy with a boy, starts to learn about being a woman and is kicked out of the nest and strikes out on her own to find her own place in life. My take on it, anyway. ;)

ONE DAY I WILL DO SOMETHING BESIDES A SKETCH. I just need to learn that elusive thing called patience. :p
