Not sure whether someone about to Lothariate would be as timid or unsure as the rhythm and reticent note choices suggest in the first part (starts around 6s); but it's a date, after all, and there's always a sense of mystery and trepidation around that.
Next bit, during ordering of the fluff pet, is more sinister, and so slightly more sure...
Last bit after fade out is much freer but, in keeping with the morality tale theme, still restrained.
It was interesting trying this out. The layers being used, visual and audio, give me the sense that this needed a little ragtime on an old player piano of the variety you might find dumped in a swamp. But I'm sans piano and swamp. So it goes.
