Re: Copyright, Culture, & Morality

Hey everyone

I am currently attending college at The New School University, where I am taking a class on Copy, Culture, and Morality. The class is quite interesting, and, for the final, I have to write a 15-20 paper on anything that has stood out to me over the past semester.

For my final paper, I wanted to discuss how HitRecord.org has stood as an example that the remixing of intellectual property (video, audio, text, image), under the right circumstances, can profoundly impact the progression of creative expression in society.

I was going to discuss current copyright laws, and how outdated they are, among other things. (Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated) So I thought, a perfect example of this would be to have this process as part of the HitRecord Community.

It is my hope that you will post your thoughts and opinions regarding current copyright laws.

Post anything you think will help.

Thank you
