First, I hope that our international community of hitrecorders have not suffered great personal losses. If you have, please know that hitrecord has ALWAYS been a compassionate environment and channeling your pain into art can be very cathartic.

On a personal note, I am a bit devastated today. Those of you who know I grew up in Hawaii probably also know that I was treated as sub-human for being a white girl - for completely understandable political reasons that I personally support to this day - and my solace was the Pacific Ocean. Every day I'd lay my body down on Her and she would carry me wherever she wished. I swam with numerous types of sharks and rays, played with seals and fish, and basically became a sea mammal myself. As of last night, the radiation in the Pacific off the coast of Fukushima Japan was 3000 times the normal amount and the ground radiation was 4 times that of Chernobyl. I am uploading a copy here in case it inspires any of you in any way. PLUS - I wish I could say that big empty white space above my head is an artistic statement on... uh, emptiness, maybe? But the fact is I overestimated how tall the chair was when I aimed the camera. (Editors are my heroes, hint hint.)
