ETA: I added this as a cave painting example to the fall fomal finale collab, but in the interest of accuracy it's an african cave painting and only several thousand years old, so certainly NOT among the earliest paintings people gave. chauvet would be a better reference, but alas it is closed to the public so i have no pictures to share...
