dark angel is a boy named Jonah, who was born with Vitiligo, the skin disorder that causes the loss of pigment, turning the skin white, and leaving it unprotected from the harmful UV rays from the sun. He always has to wear a hood to protect himself while out walking dogs(his summer day job). He loves being out at night because he doesn't need to hide from the sun then. His mother is known as "x-ray girl" She suffers from deep depression stemming from post partum depression after the birth of her two sons, Jonah, and Thomas. Jonah(dark angel) wants nothing more than to bring back his mother's smile. So he tells his little brother that he will fight crime at night as "dark angel" to make their mother proud. His little brother, Thomas, follows suit and becomes "blue lightning"
