Personally I've always felt that curating a weekly RE-RECommendation album is essentially the equivalent of creating your own "feature" page. I've found it to be one of the most effective ways to voice your opinion on the art found on the site.

Additionally, RE-REC albums offer you the chance to draw the community's attention to all kinds of RECords.

You can opt to focus on RECords that are more polished and demonstrate effective ways to REmix REsources, or you can highlight pieces that have the potential to be valuable to others. Additionally you can help inspire ideas to really take off by discussing how you feel something could be used - even if you yourself would be unable to produce the result you're suggesting (this happens most often with animation I'd say.)

Last week there were less than 10 RE-REC albums, and I think that these are becoming more and more valuable as daily production keeps increasing.

Sure, the HeartRate and Conversation page definitely aid in bringing attention to work, but to evaluate all of what you've hearted during the past week (or beyond) on a regular basis helps to hone in even further as to what can be built on more, or what stands out as examples of inspirational RECords. Plus you just get to express your feelings on RECords you were personally affected by.

Thanks for reading.
