"REmix Theatre" Update #4

We're so close to the pilot episode, guys... so, so close.

I REsourced the RECords that I feel would work the best for the direction we're going in. These are just the contributions that I feel would make the best fit for where the collaboration is at this point, but by all means browe the collab (and the site, of course) and see what else you think would work for the latest REquests.

The main focus has shifted to some of the structural components we need, namely:

* ANIMATED NETWORK ID'S - We need to have retro, cable access-looking animations featuring the hitRECord logo worked into a TV station format. There are already great still images of these, but now we need to add some movement and extra graphical touches. I think the RECords below by Re_Anon, fractaldust, and Dolphin170 would be great REsources in particular for these Network ID's. Also, it should definitely be noted that fractaldust has uploaded .PSD files of her logos so animators and graphic designers can work with the layers (check out the cool circles!)

* COMING UP NEXT SCREEN - The simplest of all the current REquests, this one is just some rather generic looking title card saying "Coming Up Next." There needs to be room in the middle to plop some video down, and an area that includes the title of the program, "REmix Theatre." Again, very retro and simple. Maybe someone could do something with Melanne's "HRO Theatre" RECord?

* END CREDITS - The lowest of the priorities, this concept is very up in the air at the moment. There are many different ways we could do this, so if you have time then by all means upload some ideas or a draft of how you'd like them to look. I call this the lowest priority because I am thinking the best solution would be to use some Public Domain footage and make something similar to the "Opening Sequence," matching the tone but slowing the pace drastically. Melanne's animated sequence would be a great fit for the End Credits. Perhaps it could be played backwards, so we leave the theatre rather than enter it?

...and with these parts in development we draw closer to the "featured video introduction" script for the hosts to act out (after selecting said video.)

THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK, CONTRIBUTIONS, AND SUPPORT!
