This is the classic Greek myth of how Orpheus's wife, Eurydice, dies on their wedding day and he journeys into Hades to find her. Several great operas have been based off of this tale - Orfeo ed Euridice and Orphee aux enfers (which is a French satire of the former).

I think that the depictions of the Underworld/Hades could be really beautiful and eerie - we could even incorporate images from the shadow collab into that - and there's a lot of great music that we could draw inspiration from. A narrator could easily be added. The only drawback - if you want to call it that - is that we would have to write our own script.

Ovid's Orpheus and Eurydice from his Metamorphoses is one of my favourite versions of the O and E myth, and I've always wanted to take a stab at my own translation of it from his original Latin poem. The best part of this version is that it's really several myths rolled into one. When O goes down to the underworld to rescue E he sings to placate the god of the underworld, and his songs tell the stories of other mythical figures.

Like bridget said though, school is a bitch, so I don't know if I could do anything about this anytime soon!

Yay i was about to suggest it too!
Orpheus & Eurydice is the most beautiful and timeless love story ever written.
Could be a great, modern, spectacular adaptation over here... I know there's already some movies about it (like Orphée by Jean Cocteau or What dreams may come by, hum, Vincent Ward?) Anyway, we all can do a wonderful piece of art of the Orpheus' myth!
