First, there was the Nothingspace.  ZERO waited inside of it, lonely and miserable, wishing for a friend.

Time passed, an uncountable dimension, and it was only when ONE finally appeared that ZERO finally felt hope.

ONE was lively, energetic, and full of a passion to create and mold the Nothingspace into something more - a Universe.

With ONE came another ONE, and with the second ONE came TWO, and with TWO came THREE, and with THREE FIVE, and EIGHT, and THIRTEEN, and TWENTY-ONE, and THIRTY-FOUR, and so-on and so-forth, until the Nothingspace that ZERO once reluctantly called home became a Universe full of life and energy.  These new additions, they called themselves the NUMBERS, and they multiplied and divided, added and subtracted, until the Universe could barely contain all of them.  So it expanded, spiraling outwards into an endless region of Infinispace, with an untouchable, unreachable INFINITY waiting in every direction.

The NUMBERS, they called the INFINITIES their gods.

ZERO clung desperately to the very first ONE, lost in the new worlds that came to life around it.  ZERO wanted to help, once, but the NUMBERS found it useless, or a threat.  Added to them, ZERO couldn't change a thing.  Multiplied, ZERO reduced even the largest and grandest of NUMBERS into nothing.  Divided, ZERO… would end the Universe.

Without ZERO's help, the NUMBERS expanded through every dimension.

And somehow, as it watched this creation process unfold, ZERO found it had never felt so alone.
