Alexandra Nicole Hulme: sometimes a muse, sometimes an artist

2. What's the origin of your artist name?

"Lula" my momma called my "LulaBelle" growing up : )))

i plan to create/build/share a magical place called "LulaBelles Garden" one day.  A place for flowers, tea and artists workshops.  I dream of blossoming of all kinds, growing and lots of making messes and art on the floor.  Spilled paint, overflowing hearts and lots of singing (especially from babies)

3. What has been your biggest challenge with your art so far?

FOCUS.  

Just like Penelope in "Brothers Bloom"...

I COLLECT HOBBIES : ) 

(currently learning the ukulele, studying french, writing a musical, doing a science experiment, learning to sing, moving to Europe, dancing as much as the hours in the day will allow and trying to pay my bills and be an adult all at the same time)

My grandma, WWII Pilot, artiste extraordinaire, gardener, chocolate chef, gypsy, famous spearmint tea brewer, beautiful bombshell of an 86 year old WOMAN:

i can dance off of the high dive and be in a whole different outfit when i get to the bottom

10. Tell me about the last dream you remember having?

he came to my dance show and i was sooo excited I ran into the hallway after the show to see him and all i saw were his shoes and mismatched socks on the floor and i knew he must have ran off to dance somewhere too...

he is always *instantly inspired*

"i learn and relearn that silence doesn't protect me.  an unexpressed life is very painful to myself and those i love.  don't love halfway.  i am learning that loving all the way can ache and sting, but loving halfway doesn't keep me safe.  it leaves me with sadness and a hope that could never live outloud."  -sabrina ward harrison
