The concept behind this particular Fake History was to inject a ton of ridiculous situations, characters, and plot twists into a two minute narrative on how the world's most notorious font came to become a staple of the computer industry.
The narration REquest produced some absolutely amazing REsults and the contributions featured an array of wonderful Southern accents. It was a tough decision to make based on all the awesome readings there were to choose from, but I decided to go with rjdpa's "Brush Script V.O." I felt he captured the omniscient storytelling voice in a such a marvelous way, and he created a mood with his tone and accent that just fit the piece perfectly. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to this project!!!
I used the following public domain footage to make this RECord:
"Master Touch (1972)": http://www.archive.org/details/TheMasterTouch_AVI
"Asian Clones (1987)": http://www.archive.org/details/CC434_asian_clones
"Tim Leary In Folsom Prison (1978)": http://www.archive.org/details/Timothy_Leary_Archives_305
"Font City": http://www.archive.org/details/fonts_2
"Tanz in den Mai 2003": http://www.archive.org/details/TanzInDenMai2003
And I wanted to make sure that "Master Touch" was definitely a public domain film. I confirmed its status here:
