FWIW
I'm really not a ton of use around here (unless hitRECord needs a resident theologian, haha), but if anybody needs an academic type to edit, proof-read, make grammatical, spelling, style, & content suggestions or changes, I can give my 2 cents worth.
I did my undergrad in Philosophy & Communication (double major), an MA in Systematic & Philosophical Theology, and am working on a PhD in Theological Aesthetics. Sooo.... I can offer critical analysis if you want or need to know philosophical, aesthetic, theological, spiritual, and to some degree the socio-economic/class implications of something. Also, if you need to know anything about the Christian religion for whatever reason (no, I can't think of one either), I'm your gal.
I'm a poet, but I haven't done much poetry-writing on demand, so I hesitate to offer that. I'll try anything, though.
If you want a drone-style VO from a low-voiced female with a Great Lakes accent (if you don't know what a white Michiganian sounds like, think Wisconsin, upstate New York, northern Ohio, Ontario sorta....or think Iggy Pop, he's from Detroit too), check out my audio files of me reading my poetry and one of Jessica Standifird's. I don't have much in the way of recording equipment just now, though, so you might have to accept slightly audible room tone along with my voice. (I'm not much of a singer, but in choirs I've sung tenor, alto, and soprano 2, to give you an idea of my vocal range.)
I have cool handwriting, or so I'm told rather often.
I'm bipolar type 2 and am happy (but not TOO happy, haha) to talk about it and answer any questions or give my thoughts on & experiences with mental illness & depression. From what I gather, lots of people here are experts on that sort of stuff too. :(
And I'm all about Detroit. Let me tell you why you, dear hitRECorder, should want to go there! (Reason #1: You're an artist, aren't you?)
I live in Oakland, CA, go to school in Berkeley, and work in San Francisco. I don't have a car, but if you need a picture of something here and don't mind point-&-shoot quality, I'd be happy to take on the adventure of going & getting it for you, if it's feasible by public transit and walking. Although there are probably tons of other Bay Area hitRECorders who have better photo skills, and also cars. But I thought I'd offer.
Mostly, I suppose, I can offer general friendliness, opinions, support, flattery, etc. I'm just happy you all let me hang out with you and check out your amazing work.
FWIW. :)
(Wanders off singing cheerily, "Anything I can do, you can do better, you can do anything better than me...")
