Apparently the history of dinosaurs has all just been an elaborate hoax passed down through generations of paleontologists...
Regarding the making of this video, I want to thank everyone for contributing readings of "A Fake History of (Fake) Paleontology." Just like with "A Fake History of 1987," it was extremely difficult to select just one reading for the project.
That being said, I really want to stress that the readings themselves shaped the entire project, post-text RECord. I had some thoughts on where to go visually and stylistically, but I knew the readings would help to bring the project to life.
todd68976 did an absolutely wonderful job with his readings. Please do yourself a favor and give his REsourced RECord a listen. He did so many takes and all were full of imagination and creativity. I cannot stress enough how important it is to try different things when doing a reading. But he took it to new heights. He did a Nixon voice, hit all kinds of varying pitches, and even added comments about the sponsor (which, in a project with a longer running time, could definitely have come in handy.)
One last thing. I know there's a lot of sadness going on. Hopefully we can take a collective moment or two and try and share a laugh together.
