The moon looked down at the Earth one night,
wondering, what life as a person was like?

The beautiful buzz of the busy street.
The feel of the summer’s heat.
To have the wind in his face.
To get a hug, a kiss and warm embrace.

The moon became full of anger as he thought of the warm air.
For he truly wished he could be down there.

Along came a star who whispered in his ear,
“Don’t be angry. For you are the Protector of the Earth so near”.

The moon suddenly felt proud and looked down with a smile.
“I am the Protector” he thought for a while.

Just then, he felt something upon his cheek.
It was warm, tingly and very unique.

For at that moment, a boy looked up and saw the moon so bright.
He blew him a kiss and wished upon that night,
to be in the sky and give him a big hug goodnight.
