When I saw JacksonBlack's illustration of jstandifird's tiny story, it moved me and made me want to try coloring it. It occurred to me after that I had finished coloring that it might be visually appealing to merge the story with the drawing, so I tried to place the words above and below to fit with the colored pic.

    I wish this were a poster or something, I'd hang it in my room. It's got such a neat sci-fi, almost steam punk quality. It's very cool. The feeling is just right.. it's a little gritty, a little sweet, a little sad. I like the inclusion of the story on the page, and dropping the end line down beneath the pool.

    sonofthemummy, I was actually afraid of not capturing the right tone when deciding on what colors to use. That being said... I'm glad it fits well. <3

    Looking at the B&W version, I thought it spoke for itself. But, the impeccable color adds something substantial, I think.
