reRECommendations
I went through some of my recommendations over the past few weeks and decided to highlight 9 of the ones that really left an impact on me.
gold - I just love the visual impact of Jane rimbaud's record. The textures, the colors - it's fabulous.
Tiny Story- Bathtub (illustration) - Katt's illustration really made me laugh and brought Metaphorest's text to life. It's so fun and whimsical and I really, really, really hope it's in the next book of tiny stories. Cause come on - we need more pirates on hitrecord!
Dancing in the... silence? - Yes, that's JPeezy in a uniform dancing awesomely to Haddway. Could a person ask for more?
RE: Cities/ RE: New Orleans - and now on a more somber note, MattConley's tribute to New Orleans and the city's reconstruction efforts, both physical and creatively. It's a powerful video that everyone should see.
preparing-a remix - I don't think any one record summed up the SITC shows for me so far quite like this one from pprescott.
The Balance Beam - Fake History, audiovisual - is it wrong to recommend something resourced from one of your own RECords? I don't care, I love this vid of Melanne's and I want to see more vids from the Fake History collab. Speaking of which...
Fake History: LXHR Episode 5 Summer in the City - Great way to wrap up the series, JonMac!
SITC Creative Process Intro - I wasn't sure about this one in the beginning, but by the end MattConley's amazing editing skills won me over. Great contribution to the final SITC show.
Electricity Pylons tiny story - Joe asked people to make tiny story vids using some of the readings from the SITC shows, and paperlilies responded with this gem. I love the mood she captures here.
