They say that stones, can't break my bones. And words can never hurt me. I believe the opposite. When you hurt yourself, a scape, bruise, or break. It heals. It returns. Sometimes as a scar, or as smooth as before. Showing that the pain is over, and gone. Done with. But words. Words are poison. They never leave you, never disappear. Echoing into he hallows of your skull, tormenting and teasing. A never ending track playing, over and over. Yet, you can not see such a wound. It is invisible. Nobody stops to help, to mend, for they do not realize it is there. So it goes unnoticed, continuing to bleed out, causing more pain. Which weapon is worse? The mind is more fragile then the body. For our own worst enemies are ourselves. |
