She wanted him, badly. Very badly. That didn’t matter, though. She realized that she would never have him. This wasn’t anything new- that was how it usually went. Either the guy wasn’t interested in her, he was already in a relationship, there were other issues, whatever. Her life seemed to be a constant stream of unrequited lust. So much endless, pointless longing-all of that desire-always left unfulfilled. All she knew was that she was tired of wanting people she could never have. Hell, she was tired of wanting anyone at all.
