Specifics for the meetup tonight - both for people who are going to SITC to come by beforehand and as an alternative to SITC for those who aren't going!
Ok, here is what the plan is! I will be at Tompkins Sq Park by 8 pm, with a blanket and my laptop and wearing a fedora. I will be in the round grassy area in the middle of the park. There are all sorts of good cheap food places around, but none are actually big enough to seat the 20 of us who have RSVPed, so find your own food and then head over. We will plan to decamp around 11:30 to head over to Pianos and hang out with people after they are done over there.
If you're going to SITC, please feel free to join us beforehand. Tompkins is a five-ten minute walk from Pianos.
IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING LOST: go add me on twitter right now (I'm unquinnish over there too) and I will update the people I'm following before I head out into the world so you can DIRECT MESSAGE me for help and/or updates and it will go straight to my phone.
Tompkins Square Park is between E 10th St, E 7th St, Ave A and Ave B. BNVfilms posted these quick directions via subway:
Get off the L at 1st Ave and walk down Ave A to E 10st or walk down 1st Ave to 10 St and walk across 10st to Ave A.
Alternative train stop is F at 2nd Ave - Lower East Side and walk up 1st Ave to 10st and over to Ave A.
