A visual-and-virtual sculpture/poem.
Spleen.
Spleen refers to a French poet, Baudelaire, who is definitely your friend when you are depressed - like Musset, Chateaubriand, or other French author from the Romanticism period as well.
It's quite difficult to explain what spleen is, and I just say it's a sort of a high state of melancholia, and in the poetry of Baudelaire (but also for the Romantic European literature), it's a essential component of the anxiety of existing, of the existence.
Anyway, even if the video seems sad or a little depressing, it's not. Well, not for me, and I wasn't in bad mood when I made it. It's more nostalgia than sadness, it's more the enchantment of the nostalgia, of the memories... I don't know... but it's not sad...
And all began with the music "Distance" by Phonontek. The music inspired the entire video/editing instinctively. So, Phonontek, thanks a lot. And by the way, I'm a huge fan of your work/music!
