Hi :^) Sorry to disappoint, but this is not actually a RECord to discuss what a sexy sexy BEAST regularJoe is. LOL - sorry, couldn't keep a straight face there. (hugs Joe lol) That title was to attract those of you - who are new here - who wish to discuss that topic but aren't making any art or participating with the community yet. There is certainly nothing wrong with discussing who you find attractive in the world. But as a Hitrecorder whose been around since the beginning - who has recently been hearing from other Hitrecorders who've been around for years - I thought I would offer some of you newcomers a friendly bit of advice. And I have taken it upon myself to say this because over the years I have noticed that Joe would NEVER say something like this himself, - out of courtesy or because typing "I'm not that hot" makes him blush purple LOL - and, well, I've got a big mouth. LOL. But I think it's important because we've never had such a MASSIVE group join all at once and I want you ALL to fit in and make friends and make art and STAY. - So I hope Joe doesn't mind me handing out this bit of sympathetic advice about fitting in with and gaining the respect of the amazing artists who make up this longstanding community called HitRecord. This is not meant to be offensive or to attack you or tell you what you can and cannot say. It's just that I've been around since the beginning of HR and I've seen TONS of JGL fans come here looking for other fans and end up leaving because that's not what this place is really about. It's about creation. It's about taking leaps and trying new forms of art and being inspired by other members. AND RIGHT NOW YOU ALL HAVE A PERFECT INSPIRATION FOR CREATING SOMETHING: whatever it is that Joe makes you feel, this initial excitement/infatuation - CREATE SOMETHING THAT CONVEYS IT! TURN THE FEELING INTO ART!!! Because that is what Joe - regularJoe - really wants, and that is what the HR members who stick around want to see and take part in: creating and collaborating. So instead of simply talking about the JGL you know from movies - please join in the creative community Joe himself has built. Join us in making art. Even if your first attempts are drawings of Joe - those get used in posters. No art is useless here. And I promise - if you channel your feelings into art, you will feel more fulfilled by your experience here and you WILL get to know Joe as just another artist here. He's the artist who Directs the overall activity of the site. But he's just a guy. And he named himself regularJoe in hopes that we would all keep treating him that way. (I assume.) You know, he's kind of dorky really. LOL In a totally adorable way. But seriously, go back through some of his content and there are definite DORK moments. (As opposed to me who NEVER makes a total fool of herself! Hah!) Makes it pretty clear he's human and just wants to make art with like minded people. So this place was designed - through years of trial and error and a LOT of Joe's own money - for CREATING things - so take your thoughts and feelings about the Movie Star Joseph Gordon Levitt and use them as inspiration to MAKE something... make ANYTHING creative that will get you started in Collaborating with all of us - including Joe, on the site that the creation-addict known as "regularJoe" made for all of us, and all he asks in return is that we CREATE! So run free new and lovely HitRecorders and for the love of Joe ::snicker:: HIT RECORD! Love and pickles, Pickleblossom (Who occassionally agrees that Joe is hot - like when he kicks ass in zero gravity - but that's not the Joe on this site. OUR Joe can't float. And he fights like a girl. HAH!!!!! Kidding.) <3 |

Right on, right on. I'm glad it was a hR "vet", so to speak, that came out and finally just said what a lot of us were trying to say for the past.. week, haha. Gosh it's been crazy.
"I'm glad to say that I came here as 70% artist and 30% fangirl, and it's now gone down to about 80% artist and SEVENTYBILLION percent fangirl over this *site*, man, seriously." -- @chuisan
^^^ Is pretty much exactly how it is for me too. 'Cept there's probably still a bit of a percent of fangirl left in me too, I can't deny that. It's really just a matter of... being able to control those fangirly moments and not letting them explode all over this website, haha. Not the place.
But yeah, I'm really glad to see this, so thank you for writing it. :)

I saw the title and got really annoyed...till I read it ;)
To be honest, I got to know about this website from girls like that.
I was waiting in line to see "Inception" with a friend, and 2 girls in front of me were giggling and so on...so I tried to figure out what's so funny.
They were talking about Joe and that they watch the movie, cause of him and that he has this website for creative people, something with "Hit" or so...bla bla bla.
So I looked it up.
I've always been writing, I just left all my stuff in germany, and there was my chance to share and work with people here :)
