RE/RE/RE-RECommendations (8.11.10)

1. "I Am" - I think this "I Am..." contribution has repetition written all over it. Maybe someone could REmix it by doing a reading of it and then looping it over and over again, matching video to its rhythm and words. Perhaps even more ambitious would be to increasingly speed up the voice and cutting pace.

2. "Old Man" - I am looking forward to someone animating this Jason Robards-esque figure. He looks like he's seeking redemption.

3. "Rose City Animation wip" - This is some of the coolest, and most stylish, animation on the site. This world KiraKimo has created is just begging to be expanded into a short story.

4. "In the Wars" - I think the most effective Tiny Stories have been the ones that lure you in with a sentence or two, and let your imagination go to work long after you finished reading.

5. "My Dad Is An FBI Agent - reading" - deeasherself did this wonderful reading of her fascinating Tiny Story. I REmixed it into a mini-action movie and I'm really curious how others interpret it visually.

6. "And a New Earth" - The only thing this RECord needs (in my opinion) is just a little bit more of an intro; perhaps the "Cut To Commercial" slide can be expanded on a bit?

7. "Choked With Trees + Harmony" - One of the best examples of a song that was awesome to begin with, but taken to a new level with the addition of vocals. Lizziemackie added just the right touch. But, as with all things, there's room for more.

8. "Jack" - This was a great find. jstandifird did a masterful reading and this could really make for an interesting video. It could use some sound effects too in order to spice up the storytelling.

9. "Vinyl (stock)" - msmeganonymous shot an editor's dream: stock footage. The photography and video quality is top notch and this footage is useful for many things, including an intro to Dr. Gory's "Vinyl Initiative."

10. "Tiny Story Poem" - Great writing. Just needs cosmic animation that warp the senses.
