Luck is for horseshoes and clovers and thieves
For those who see but don’t believe.
For those who stagger back with pride
But never look to see inside
Luck is for the faint of heart
The ones who stop when they’re supposed to start
The ones who trust in no higher power
But only wallow away the hours
But as for me in my own head
I won’t give in to luck unsaid
I won’t give in to that silly mistake
And instead, do my best to make
My own luck.
