i’ve been watching the snow
this winter
as it rests upon the leaves
of autumn, those which have
died
atop the grass of the humid summer,
that grew from the soil
of last winter.

again and
again
and again
by heart.

i wish i had the power
to be so perfectly
lovely
and devastating
all at once.
