GabyV’s RE RECS 10-20-12

Hi guys, I am GabyVaughan and these are my recommendations for this week.  

You have no idea how much I enjoy to make my RE RECS every week,  and the truth is that I made them for you, because for me is really important to celebrate and at the same time show you the wonderful records that all of you, my dear hitrecorders made every day at HR, that’s why I am every week thinking about how to make my RE RECS in different ways and trying to be creative, so You know that since 2 weeks ago I am doing a different kind of RE RECS every week,  this time I am doing my 3^rd kind of RE RECS and is about an specific collab or an specific theme, so this time I decided to make these RECS just about: THE ITERATIONS COLLAB.

I think that this is a really wonderful collaboration, the whole concept is really interesting and unique, I loved Jeanine since the first time that sophierumi made an illustration about her, I think it was: “Jeanine in the forest”, anyway, I just can’t wait to see the final result of all these fantastic contributions that we are all doing for this collab, all the backgrounds, illustrations of candies, props and animals are just GREAT. Another thing that I love about iterations is the fact that we can have a lot of hitrecorders involved in this collaboration: illustrators, animators, musicians, painters and video editors, so everyone can be a part of this great collab.

So, said that, I am recommending this time, 12 of my favorite illustrations, 3 of my favorite videos, and also 1 song. I think that all the contributions are amazing, but I had to choose just a few, it was hard because I love a lot of the contributions so far, but I think that all these illustrations that you can see in my video, are the ones that for me, have a lot of potential and in some way, fully captured the idea behind this collaboration.

So, I am going to make here some quick highlights about each one of the records that I am recommending. I hope you enjoyed my video, I made something different this time, and also please don’t forget to go and check all the records that I am recommending and give hearts to them, Ok? :)

Illustrations:

1. All Kinds of sweets by Wink: Love it, wink is a great artist and I think that this contribution is just fantastic, especially the fact that it was made without colors so we all can remix it and play with this.


2. Birds colored (Iterations) by rejjie: I love this illustrations because rejjie included a lot of different birds, from turkeys to owls, so I think that this is going to be very useful for the final animation (also she added some body parts by separated so it will help a lot to the animators).


3. Boots by Milenamilak: Another great illustration made by Milena, I love these boots, they are really cute and also, they have the unique style of Milena’s illustrations, so I think they could be a great addition to this collab.


4. Candy, Handbags, scarves (Iterations) – Pantoufle: All these illustrations, the strawberries and  pastries looks so real, that’s what I love about them, I think that Pantoufle did a great job with these illustration and I think they should be used for the finale animation.


5. Extra Elements & Props RE: Iterations by Papersquid: Beautiful colors and great choice of props and other elements, I can see all of them at the summer season animation, especially the clouds, the balloon and the skates. Great job Papersquid.


6. Handbags by thecurious.tk: I love handbags, I have a lot of them, so I really enjoyed and loved this illustration, thecurious.tk made all these lovely handbags and I think they can be useful for the animations that they are going to do for every season.


7. Hats, shoes, bags by Rejjie (Coloured) by Bloemday: I really like how Bloemy incorporated the different colors and textures to this illustration made by Rejjie, I especially love the handbags and hats, the ones with the white dots are my favorites, another great addition to this collab.


8. Illumination by Sarah Frances: I love this illustration of the sun made by Sarah, I used this image before for some of my remixes, and I love the colors and the style. I think that this could looks beautiful on the summer background/sky that is going to be made for the animation.


9. Iterations snail by Sia SassyPants: I really enjoyed the way how Sia added the colors and textures to this illustration, I would love to see more animals created with the same style that this little snail was created, so maybe she or somebody else can make more animals, using this same style, I think it could be great.


10. Party Hats by Littledot: one of my favorite new Hitrecorders Littledot made this lovely and colorful illustration, in this case she made a lot of party hats, I can imagine one of the trees just full of these beautiful hats, they are awesome!!!!


11. Spring Summer Background by Crystal Dawn: We have a lot of great additions for the different background that are going to be used for the different seasons, especially the skies, and this one is one of my favorites, this could be useful for spring or summer season, I hope it could be used for the final short film/animation.


12. Watercolor Flowers by Lovetherobot: I can imagine another tree full of these lovely flowers, or maybe they can be useful for the summer or spring backgrounds, I think they are beautiful and should be used for the final result.

Videos:

1. Deer Walking & Flying bird by Brookeduckart: Brooke made these 2 great animations for this collab, I think they are amazing and they give us an idea of how the final animations/short film is going to look; I hope Brooke keep contributing with more animations because I think they are fantastic.


2. Iterations Bear by elina.lex: I love this, the bear looks awesome, but my favorite part is the beginning, this could be useful for the winter season, I can imagine this in the short film. Great job!!!

Music:

1. Iterations – Percussion Mix by Wunderboy: Love this song and the additions/mix that Wunderboy made. I think this is perfect for the collab.
