Talking for a few minutes about the concept of psychopomps - beings/deities/animals/etc. that guide a soul from the world of the living to the world of the dead. Pretty much every culture/religion has some sort of concept of psychopomps, which says to me that it's a concept that's essential to our humanity. Also, I think it's something that could give us some really good opportunites for visual art. Plus it's a really cool word:)

* please, please correct me if I've gotten any information wrong. I gave some examples from various cultures, but I may not have it completely correct and I don't want to sound like an ass, so let me know.

This film was created from Eadweard Muybridge's Plate #1 collotype of his Animal Locomotion portfolio. I have reassembled the collotype images to form a stop motion animation, the original purpose of the collotype; to study the movement patterns of living creatures. The Animal Locomotion portfolio was made from 1872-1885 and is thus in the public domain. Many of these tests contain nudity for artistic and educational purposes to view natural movement of humans. This film is presented here for documentary / preservation / educational reasons.

Here is a compilation video of a road trip. Some video is blurry (night time), some you see the dirty windshield, audio has been removed on most clips because I was narrating my trip in Spanish. So, this is mostly for video editors who need a clip or two on road footage. Some green areas, some freeway, night shots and streets. Not too great lol, sorry about my crappy filming, this video was mostly a narrated experience, didn't think I'd ever share the video, but there might be a few shots someone can use.

This is my first video on hitrecord and in fact on the whole internet! Was so nervewracking!

I sometimes see a lot of independence leading to isolation, because by relying on only yourself, you are not interacting with other people; so to a wider extent too many independent individuals could lead to a less united society. Well...thats the message I was trying to get across...

I love the road and always have... sorry the video got cut off before I wanted it to, I was going to say that I love that the road doesn't have to end.  You can be on the road as long as you want.
