Matthew's beautiful track reminded me of the rhythm of a train, so I wrote a very simple little song, about there being no place like home.
Lots of space if people want to remix! <3
LYRICS:
Take me home, I’ve been so far
Little train let’s go
We’ve gone so far
How many days
How many nights
Have I been sleeping here inside my head
And though adventure’s all I want
I think I’ll adventure home instead
Take me home I’ve been so far
I’ve seen so many things
Become so many things
I’ve forgotten who I was
At the beginning
Take me home, I’ve been so far
Little train let’s go
Take me right back to the start
Revisited this great song and transformed it with contributions from a number of existing records and collaborations. 95% of this song is recycled records, I kept my input very minimal.

Today's beat is kind of my take on "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta". It isn't a cover or remix or anything, it just has a similar feel in places.
Discovered another version of this song on my phone. This one only two verses long and at a slower more mellow tempo. Helen (my wife) seems to like the faster version http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1309671 and I sort of agree but I figured I'd post the slow one just in case. I feel it may be kinder on the ears.
The story behind his song - Helen left for vacation in Taiwan and I was home alone for two weeks during Christmas holiday season. Couldn't get the dishwasher and the laundry machine to work. I'm surprised I managed to feed myself. Must've survived on all the chocolate we got from our clients. After hiding at home without a change of socks or underwear, I came up with this song. By now you may think I am a horrible chauvinist tyrant. Actually just bad with large appliances ;)
This is draft one of the VO so I left it raw...I cannot WAIT to really edit/mix this one!
Since I am not the writer, I will let you read how this collab came together in the words of the amazing TravelingGonzo!
** Dr. Taylor Holden will have a special place in my heart FOREVER and I plan on doing alot more research on this character so that I can do her some TRUE justice!
French Montana
what sup kayne? LOL
A old dear friend of mine past away recently and to help me get through it and help release some of these feelings I wrote this song for her. Tonight she shines down on us as a effevescent cluster of stars.
Warning: Don't listen to it with earphones, or loud, or rather don't listen to this at all!!! Listen to Bubbabuster's version of the song - it's much much better - http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1309505
Julz - you asked me to post this, so here goes. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Thank you so very much for the terrific remix! I really love what you've done with the song and consider it the official version. So once you've got a chance to listen to this, chances are I'll end up hiding it.
Apologize in advance for the poor recording, singing, guitar playing.
Discovered this on my phone today by accident. I wrote this song when my wife was away on vacation. I couldn't operate the laundry machine or the dishwasher and was pretty much lost.
I can't remember the lyrics or the chords off hand anymore. But if anyone likes it enough to remix it, let me know and I'll look around for the scrap of paper this is thing is written on.
Also check out the slow short version which may be a bit kinder on the ears http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1309723
Hope the sound of my voice doesn't scar you too badly. Enjoy!
