For a few months of my life...when I was 17...I believed life itself was a conspiracy theory.
It started out as a mental exercise. A "What if?"
Then it progressed quickly to..."It is."
I believed I was the only real person on Earth and everyone else were just there to interact with me. Kind of like robots, but more ephemeral.
This included everyone.
Family, friends...especially my girlfriend.
Did I think God was in charge of this conspiracy?
Did I think Satan was in charge of this conspiracy?
It was right when I started college.
Let me tell you: I looked at life MUCH differently for those few months.
Like it was all a grand charade for the entertainment of You-Know-Who and that other You-Know-Who.
I never let on to others.
That's probably just as well, since I'm sure they would have locked me up.
But I enjoyed life immensely for those few months.
I didn't take anything too seriously.
It was a special kind of freedom.
Having a psuedo-robot girlfriend was pretty cool.
Then came the overwhelming evidence of the "real world."
Oh...if I could only get my conspiracy threory back.
Now that I think about it...
all of you are starting to look a little suspect.
I leave every single family get-together completely convinced that the other members of my family are conspiring to make me feel like I am batshit crazy.
When I was a kid, I was convinced that my real, very rich and very loving, mom and dad one day would barge in and end the social experiment I was put in at birth, and finally come and take me home...
Still waiting... :-)
I personally believe we landed on the Moon, but think it'd be interesting to explore.
Some people believe the MOON LANDING was an elaborate hoax. They believe that those pictures we've all seen weren't taken thousands of miles away, but on a backlot here on Earth.
