They Can't Turn The Lights Off Now is one of the most renowned RECords to come out of hitRECord so far. Teafaerie wrote the lyrics and directed the creation of the song and cartoon, we screened it at Sundance and SxSW, and it even won an award from the Human Rights Campaign -- http://www.hrc.org
Now, even though it was great and presentable enough to do so well, there's always opportunity for further refinement and remixing here. I think the video could use more visual ideas. The cartoon is awesome, and I don't want to take anything away from it. But I think it could be interwoven with other stuff.
VIDEO EDITORS -- Find either public domain footage ( like from http://archive.org ) or video RECords from hitRECord.org and cut it on top of the current cartoon. Find visual ideas that correspond with what the lyrics are talking about at that moment. Make your cutting points match the rhythm of the music.
EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT A VIDEO EDITOR -- the most involved part of this is going to be finding the right footage to use. So find some public domain footage or video RECords from hitRECord.org and compile them into an Album. In your Album's description, write which video clip is intended to go with which lyric of the song.
